Getting involved with this club has helped me make so many meaningful connections with my peers as well as healthcare and industry professionals. Additionally, in September I was a science orientation leader for incoming undergraduate students. I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity, and I loved mentoring the new incoming science students at Waterloo!

How I get involved: I am the co-president of the UW Undergraduate Research Club, which we relaunched in the Fall 2023 term. I was also a 2023 Science Orientation Leader. I've volunteered before with SciSoc and Science Outreach, and currently work on a weekly basis as a volunteer for the STEPS program at the Centre for Community, Clinical, and Applied Research Excellence (CCCARE). As well, I have been a Science Ambassador since 2023.

How I get involved: In addition to being a science ambassador, I am also a part of the UW Supporting SickKids Club, Pre-Med Club, Science Society, and WiSTEM. Moreover, I volunteer with AccessAbility Services as a notetaker while devoting time to my involvement with Waterloo Science Outreach. I have also had the pleasure of being a Science Orientation Leader this past year, and am currently working as a research assistant with a faculty member from the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy.

How I get involved: I have been involved in the Black Medical Leaders of Tomorrow (University club) for just over a year and a half, first as a Junior representative, then creative director and now Vice-President. I also love getting involved on campus; I've been an Orientation Leader, You@Waterloo day volunteer, Spring Welcome week volunteer and Chem Lab days volunteer. During the summer, I had the opportunity to complete an NSERC in a microbiology lab on campus, and I'm still involved part-time.
